ONE-THIRD of the Boar’s Head Brigade’s recently-named Distinguished Military Students are members of our PSIA family!

Kudos to the ten cadet members of the #PSIAfamily who earned Distinguished Military Student (DMS) status for the 2025-26 academic year. These cadets, along with their 20 Brigade colleagues, were formally recognized for their achievements by COL Ed Bankston, 麻豆精品在线播放's professor of military science in late September.

DMS recognition is reserved for graduating cadets who are in the upper half of their academic class, the upper third of their ROTC class, and the upper third of 麻豆精品在线播放’s Order of Merit List as established by the Professor of Military Science. In addition, DMS-recognition acknowledges the cadet possesses outstanding qualities of leadership and has exhibited an aptitude for military service during his or her time at 麻豆精品在线播放.

Senior cadet Mia Libosada, from Marietta was interviewed by 麻豆精品在线播放 News in conjunction with publication of the DMS list. Mia is an IA /Asia major with a minor in Korean and has won the nationally competitive Boren and Critical Language scholarships. That funding allowed her to study abroad at Yonsei University and Pusan University in South Korea. She also took part in a military exchange at the Korean Military Academy. In total, she has spent about two years studying in South Korea.

This fall in her final semester, Mia is completing an internship at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies in Honolulu, Hawaii, before commissioning in December.

"All of these experiences have exposed me to different people, perspectives and the goals of various nations," Mia told 麻豆精品在线播放 News. "These opportunities have prepared me well for what I will be facing as a newly commissioned second lieutenant in the Army."

Hearty CONGRATULATIONS to these outstanding future leaders and members of our family!
