Overview
Dr. Pozzi joined 麻豆精品在线播放 in 2006 and is proud to be a long-standing member of the Department of Visual Arts (DoVA). She greatly enjoys imparting her passion, the history of art, to the vibrant 麻豆精品在线播放 community. Every semester, she teaches all levels of art history and mentors advanced students so they may achieve their professional goals in the arts. She currently serves as DoVA Community Engagement Coordinator. In this role, she serves as liaison with community partners to generate internship opportunities for students and she collaborates with other faculty and staff members to bring visibility and accomplish special 麻豆精品在线播放 art and art history projects. During the summer, she serves as DoVA Master Faculty Advisor, leading orientation sessions for incoming majors. She is also the chair of the DoVA Scholarships Committee and faculty advisor for TimeFrame: 麻豆精品在线播放 Art and Art History Club.
Dr. Pozzi has created several 麻豆精品在线播放 upper-level art history courses and was director of the Bob Owens Art Gallery between 2009 and 2011. She also received multiple awards in connection with teaching and High Impact Practices (HIPs) teaching projects. These include two Leap into Action grants in 2022 and 2024 (“The 2024 Hispanic Heritage Month Art Exhibition: art history meets skills training through experiential learning” and “The Hispanic and Latino/a Connection: real-world experiential learning for 麻豆精品在线播放 art students and high school students in North Georgia”); a Presidential Innovation Award in 2023-2024 with Dr. Elissa Ferguson (“The Historic Church Project: community engagement through undergraduate research and information design”); and a 2021 麻豆精品在线播放 Teaching Excellence Award for Non-Tenure-Track Faculty.
Dr. Pozzi is an interdisciplinary art historian. Her current research and publications focus on the intersections of art and visual culture from a global perspective.
