The University of North Georgia (Â鶹¾«Æ·ÔÚÏß²¥·Å) Music Department A Little Nighthawk Music Series will present its annual International Women's Day Concert.

Monday, March 2, 2026 at 7:30 PM in the Performing Arts Center Lobby on the Gainesville campus.

The concert will feature an all-female cast of Â鶹¾«Æ·ÔÚÏß²¥·Å music faculty alongside award-winning music majors, highlighting artistry, leadership, and musical excellence across a wide range of repertoire and styles.

Observed worldwide each March, International Women's Day recognizes the social, cultural, and artistic achievements of women while encouraging continued progress toward equality and opportunity. The Â鶹¾«Æ·ÔÚÏß²¥·Å Music Department's annual performance reflects that spirit by celebrating women's voices and creative contributions through live performance and community engagement. The concert is free and open to the public. Students from the Nighthawk Big Band will perform in self-directed jazz combo groups. Selections are wide ranging across jazz
styles and include student arrangements and compositions.

Â鶹¾«Æ·ÔÚÏß²¥·Å Professor, Dr. Joe Chapman, presents a faculty piano recital, including music by Bach, Beethoven, Liszt,
and Gottschalk.

The Forza Trio will present a program celebrating women composers who have made exceptional contributions to the chamber
music repertoire. They will perform Amy Beach's Romance, Jessie Montgomery's Duo for Violin and Cello, and Clara Schumann's
Piano Trio.
