Go to Â鶹¾«Æ·ÔÚÏß²¥·Å Connect and look for the "ORGS" module. Type your query into the search tool. You can also browse the "EVENTS" module to see what's happening now, next weekend, or anytime.

The first step to joining an organization is gathering information about that particular group through Â鶹¾«Æ·ÔÚÏß²¥·Å Connect.


Once you know the organization’s meeting times and location, attend one meeting. Be mindful that some groups have a selection process. There may be a "join" or an "email" link on their page.


Selection information will be located in their Â鶹¾«Æ·ÔÚÏß²¥·Å Connect group.

Depending on your academic load and/or work schedule, we recommend that students be involved with at least one or two student groups.
If you are able to join more, that’s great! However, try not to over commit yourself.

• You can speak with representatives of student groups at Nighthawks Fest which is the Â鶹¾«Æ·ÔÚÏß²¥·Å student involvement fair on each campus. Nighthawks Fest is held at the beginning of each new semester. Look on the Â鶹¾«Æ·ÔÚÏß²¥·Å Connect calendar to find your campus’s specific Nighthawks Fest.
• Utilize Â鶹¾«Æ·ÔÚÏß²¥·Å Connect to find out more about each club.
• Deciding what groups to be involved in are based on your personal preferences, values, and interests. You can start by asking yourself what do you enjoy or what do you want to learn more about?

• Log in to Â鶹¾«Æ·ÔÚÏß²¥·Å Connect.
• Click on “Orgs” in the vertical menu bar on the left of the page. 
• In the search bar, type in Blue Ridge, Cumming, Dahlonega, Gainesville, or Oconee. 

• Recreational Sports is a great way to stay active. You can venture out into outdoor adventures, attend some of the fitness classes or join an intramural team. Find more information with Campus Recreation and Wellness.
• Attend a Â鶹¾«Æ·ÔÚÏß²¥·Å sponsored event. Â鶹¾«Æ·ÔÚÏß²¥·Å offers leadership conferences and trainings, lectures on various subjects, music and theater performances, art exhibitions, fairs, concerts, and more! Search the Â鶹¾«Æ·ÔÚÏß²¥·Å Connect calendar for a list of events.
• Find an undergraduate research opportunity. Speak with your professors for more information or contact CURCA.
• Become a tutor or an SI (supplemental instruction) Facilitator.
• Find a volunteer opportunity in the local community. 
• Participate in an Alternative Service Break trip. 
• If you are a residential student, attend one of the many residence hall programs held throughout the semester.
• Study abroad!
• Attend campus events held by different student service offices (i.e. Student Engagement & Leadership, Fraternity & Sorority Life, Student Leadership, Student Impact Initiatives, Career Services, Student Orientation and Success (SOS))

Absolutely! Most employers are flexible with college students, especially if you have an on-campus job. 

Most (but not all) clubs meet during the official Â鶹¾«Æ·ÔÚÏß²¥·Å “club hour” which is on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from noon. - 12:50 p.m. 

No classes (with a few exceptions) are scheduled during this time to help students make time to attend club meetings.
