The University of North Georgia (�鶹��Ʒ���߲���) Music Department A Little Nighthawk Music Series will present its annual International Women's Day Concert.

Monday, March 2, 2026 at 7:30 PM in the Performing Arts Center Lobby on the Gainesville campus.

The concert will feature an all-female cast of �鶹��Ʒ���߲��� music faculty alongside award-winning music majors, highlighting artistry, leadership, and musical excellence across a wide range of repertoire and styles.

Observed worldwide each March, International Women's Day recognizes the social, cultural, and artistic achievements of women while encouraging continued progress toward equality and opportunity. The �鶹��Ʒ���߲��� Music Department's annual performance reflects that spirit by celebrating women's voices and creative contributions through live performance and community engagement. The concert is free and open to the public. In place of this month's meeting, AFCEA will host 1LT Terrence Dorsey, a University of North Georgia graduate and National Guard Military Intelligence officer. Recently returning from deployment, 1LT Dorsey will provide firsthand insight into his path from �鶹��Ʒ���߲��� to commissioning, his experiences serving in the National Guard, and what life looks like as a Guard officer in the Military Intelligence field. He will also discuss how Guard service integrates with civilian careers, highlighting opportunities, challenges, and lessons learned while working in the intelligence profession after graduation.

Carl McColman, a scholar of contemplative prayer and Christian mysticism, will share ancient methods of reading the Bible prayerfully. This event is open invitation to all students, faculty, and community. This event includes his talk, Q&A time, and a meal.

Miracle �鶹��Ʒ���߲��� is a student-led nonprofit that fundraises for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. We host once-a-month club meetings where we come together and discuss different topics. We review what Miracle�鶹��Ʒ���߲��� is, talk about events, and learn about a Children's family. Typically, we end it with an activity like making beads of courage. The exec team will meet from 6:00 to 6:30pm, and the club meeting will start at 6:30pm.

Celebrate International Women's Month with WISE by creating vision boards, setting goals, and uplifting one another.

The American Heart Association's (AHA)����trains people with little to no medical training to perform CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) on adults, children, and infants.��The course teaches key skills for sudden cardiac emergencies, including recognizing the need for CPR, administering high-quality chest compressions and breaths, and using an AED correctly to deliver an electrical shock if needed.

The cost for the certification card is $25.00. This must be paid at the Business Office on the Dahlonega Campus prior to the class. Please note that they only accept cash or check.

Basic Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. The Basic R.A.D. class is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, risk avoidance, and progresses on to the basics of hands-on defense training. The hands-on portion of the class is progressive in nature however participants learn and implement techniques at their own comfort level. R.A.D. is not a martial arts program.  It is designed to help women of all ages and fitness levels avoid and escape harmful situations by teaching a strong foundation of awareness, risk reduction and avoidance strategies, which R.A.D. believes is 90 percent of self-defense training. This course is a combination of both educational and physical learning components.��

 R.A.D. is the only existing self-defense program with a free lifetime return and practice policy, honored worldwide.  Our instructors are trained and nationally certified by R.A.D. Systems.��

The class is held over the course of four sessions. These sessions are progressive in nature and build upon techniques learned during the previous classes; to participate in simulation on the fourth day you must attend the first three days. Participation in the fourth day is not mandatory.

An exhibition celebrating Bob Owens, North Georgia College's influential art professor and department founder. Archival sketchbooks, prints, drawings, pottery, and ceramic sculptures not previously shown will be on display, as well as first-hand accounts of Owens' impact as an art educator. Alumni impacted by Owens' mentorship will be exhibited on the first floor.

Class cost: $100 per student

Scientists have written that cordage (string) and glue were not merely for making the lives of traditional cultures easier; they literally held their world together.

In this cordage and pitch glue workshop students will learn two important skills: how to process plant fibers to create cordage, and how to combine natural elements to create glue.

The Cordage and Glue workshop on March 28, 11-4 is broken into two parts:
Part I is cordage, in which students first learn how to refine the leaves and stalks from various plant species in order to expose the fibers. Next, students will be taught the reverse-twist method of creating actual cordage. Each student will take home the cordage strands they create, as well as extra material to process and twist on their own.

Part II is making pine-pitch glue, where students are provided three ingredients: charcoal, dried plant matter and pine sap. First, a minimal amount of processing will be done to break down and purify the ingredients. Then, students will melt the sap over a heat source and gradually add the other two elements. When the correct consistency is achieved, students will learn how to attach the liquified glue to the end of a small piece of wood for storage.

Each student will take home several of these 'pitch sticks'. The workshop will culminate in students using their glue and cordage to haft a projectile point onto a river cane handle. This workshop is suitable for ages thirteen and up; students under eighteen must have an accompanying adult present at all times. No prior knowledge of or experience with cordage or glue is necessary.

Join the brothers of Pi Kappa Phi for a pageant between the on-campus sororities for their chance to win a spot as our 2026 Rose Queen! Each of the sororities will vote on one sister to represent them in the pageant. The pageant will consist of two phases: An introduction (formal) and a talent show. In the first phase contestants will be in formal wear and present themselves on stage with an introduction and a speech on what their chosen philanthropy means to them. In the second round, contestants will show off any talent of their choice. Following the conclusion of the two phases the judges will come to a decision on who they believe should be our Rose Queen!

Tickets will be $3 before the day of the contest and $5 at the door!

Come to our weekly discussion over lunch about some aspect of Christian Theology and its relevance for daily life (hosted by Reformed University Fellowship). This semester we will be exploring what to consider in��Making Decisions (both big and small) through a Christian, theological lens. We will eat and hang out before we begin discussion at 12:30 pm. No prep is needed and bring your lunch with you to eat while we are lead through this topic by our campus minister Trey Martin, Ph.D.

Miracle�鶹��Ʒ���߲���'s last and biggest event of the year. Typically it is an all day event from 10 am to 5 pm. This event is filled with fundraising, line dancing, games, food, and more! We have the opportunity to hear families from CHOA stories and understand why our organization is so important. At the end of the event, we reveal the grand total we raised the entire year. It's is an incredible way to end the year.

Class cost: $100

A two million year-old habit is hard to break! Scientists estimate this is how long ago the first pieces of stone were crafted into tools. Many people are familiar with stone artifacts such as arrowheads created by traditional cultures in North America and around the world.

In this flintknapping workshop taught by Andrew Lee, students will learn how to create stone projectile points.

The Flintknapping Workshop consists of four hours of instruction total. Each student will be given a large piece of stone and, using a smooth cobble as a hammerstone, shown how to remove a "flake", or small piece. Next, they will be given a pressure flaker tool and instructed how to thin and shape their flakes into a finished arrowhead. Each student will have the opportunity to create several projectile points, and they will take home their finished pieces and the pressure flaker, as well as several additional flakes to complete on their own. Safety equipment such as gloves and eye protection will be provided. This class is suitable for ages thirteen and up; students under eighteen must have an accompanying adult present at all times. No prior knowledge of or experience with flintknapping is necessary.

General Mental Health Group Therapy: Navigating college life can be both exciting and overwhelming. This 50-minute weekly group therapy session offers a supportive and confidential space for students to talk openly about a wide range of mental health concerns—from academic stress and anxiety to relationship issues, loneliness, and overall emotional well-being. The group encourages connection through shared experiences and peer support. This group is a space to be heard, to heal, and to realize you're not alone. The Mental Health in Today's Culture therapy group uses the power of pop culture - from movies and music to games and social media - to explore common mental health themes. Stop by any Wednesday between 10 and 12 to help out for a bit, meet new people and learn how to garden! (or get volunteer hours for class or honor societies)

Join us to visit the Feral cat program of Georgia, help with upkeep and feeding and hang out with some sweet cats! We provide transportation each week, and the van leaves the rec deck visitor lot at 9:50 to arrive at FCPGA around 10am and we return back around 12pm. Come volunteer to support FCPGA's mission and see some cute kittens!

For Spring 2026, Accessibility Advocacy Group(AAG) will have a meeting or event that seeks to advance INTERSECTIONAL disability justice (for all marginalized groups such as Women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ people) and create a community for people with disabilities and their allies. Be on the lookout for updates as we choose a different topic and activity for each week.

Hero's Journey is a guided role-playing experience where you become the main character in a symbolic adventure - designed to mirror the inner challenges you face in real life. Together, we'll explore different stages of your story: the struggles, the strengths, the turning points. you might encounter challenges, meet symbolic allies, and uncover insights about yourself along the way.

Join CRW for Dance Fit, an energetic group fitness class with dance party vibes! All students and CRW members of all fitness levels are welcome. Please check in at the front desk, grab a ticket, and meet us on the basketball courts. All first-timers must sign the 2025-2026 Group Fitness Waiver.

Celebrate Earth Day by joining the Earth Day Art Show! Students, faculty, and staff from all campuses are invited to submit 2-dimensional works of art that celebrate, explore, or reflect on the natural world to this event. These works will be displayed from April 3 through May 1 in the Gainesville Student Center adjacent to the main Earth Day event celebrated in the Gainesville quad and volley ball courts.

Artwork submissions must be completed by March 31 and artworks dropped off on Gainesville campus April 1 - 2. The artworks can be picked up in the student center May 1. !
